Ocean Opto Co. LTD.
Ocean Opto was established in December 2020 with a registered capital of 6 million yuan. It is the first technology company in Jilin Province to integrate endoscope R&D, manufacturing, and maintenance under one roof.
Over the past two years, the company has collaborated with clients including the Jilin Provincial Institute of Metrology, Central South University, Beijing Fanxing Optoelectronic Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., Shenyang Aerospace University, 301 Hospital, and Changchun Aopu Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd. The endoscopic product series developed in these collaborations have surpassed the technological level of domestic peers, generating R&D revenue exceeding 3 million yuan. Currently, two products—laparoscopes and ureteroscopes—have been put into mass production, and prototype models of the 1.8- and 2.8-series arthroscopes and intervertebral foraminoscopes have already been produced. Meanwhile, the company also undertakes various optical system designs and optical engineering projects.
Company Team: The company’s founder is Professor Xiangyang from Changchun University of Science and Technology, who has devoted 30 years to endoscopic research. He has led and participated in more than 20 endoscopy projects, with total project funding approaching 15 million yuan. He has achieved breakthroughs in the field of endoscopic optical design, attaining design specifications that reach the diffraction limit. His eyepieces, rod lenses, and objective lenses exhibit excellent interchangeability and broad versatility. Currently, the company has 25 R&D personnel, including 5 with senior professional titles, 3 holding doctoral degrees, and 8 with master’s degrees.

February 2022
The research and development project for full-HD laparoscopes has passed the acceptance inspection by the Science and Technology Department of Jilin Province. The project’s performance indicators, as verified by the Jilin Provincial Institute of Metrology, have reached internationally advanced levels. Clinical trials conducted at Qianwei Hospital in Jilin Province have demonstrated that the laparoscope’s resolution is comparable to that of top international products.

Zhou Weidong, an endoscope repair expert from Tonglu—the base for endoscope production and R&D in Zhejiang—has been appointed as the company’s Vice President of Production.
September 2022
The work on drafting the quality system for Class II medical devices used in endoscopy has been completed.

Received an Excellence Award in the 2022 Jilin Province Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
October 2022
We have initiated four patent certification projects, including the conversion of Changchun University of Science and Technology’s patents into company-owned patents. Currently, we are applying for seven patents.

The laparoscope and ureteroscope developed by the company have been submitted to the Liaoning Provincial Inspection, Testing and Certification Center for examination, and the inspection was successfully passed in February 2023.
December 2022
Carry out the registration procedures for Class II endoscopic medical devices.
April–June 2023
The company has completed the R&D work on the 2.8 series and 1.8 series endoscopes and has now essentially finished the process, producing sample units.
June 2023
The company has collaborated with Changchun Aopu Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. to develop a thin-diameter endoscope, which is now in use. Shenyang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics has commissioned a custom endoscope with a working length of 532 mm.
July 2023
The company has partnered with the 301 Hospital, and its research and development efforts to produce microscopic endoscopes have yielded promising trial results.
July 2023
The company has won the bid for a green, safe, and dynamic 4K endoscopic monitoring system for kilns, and R&D work has already begun.
August 2023
The blast furnace dual-channel endoscope project, developed in the company’s second collaboration with Central South University, is now basically complete.
