Features:
1. Bipolar electroresection uses physiological saline as both the distending medium and the conductive medium. The electric current flows only between the two electrodes (such as the two arms of the resectoscope loop), forming a localized circuit that does not pass through the patient’s body.
2. Physiological saline can be used directly as the uterine distension fluid.
3. Bipolar technology enables effective coagulation and hemostasis during the cutting process, produces less smoke, and provides a clearer surgical field of view.
4. Modern bipolar electrosurgical systems are typically integrated with dedicated energy platforms (generators) that can intelligently detect tissue impedance and automatically adjust energy output.
