Features:
1. The procedure is performed through several keyhole incisions of 0.5–1.2 centimeters in the abdominal wall, replacing the long incision used in traditional open surgery.
2. It offers extremely high resolution and color fidelity, enabling clear visualization of tissue layers, fine blood vessels, and nerves—laying the foundation for precise and safe surgical procedures.
3. Multi-angle viewing is a hallmark feature of laparoscopy. Aside from the 0° scope, the 30° scope is the “gold standard” and mainstay in general surgery.
4. The laparoscopic scope needs to be integrated with a video imaging system, a cold light source, an energy platform (such as an ultrasonic scalpel), and other components to form a complete surgical ecosystem.
